Early Childhood Education: Effective and Diverse Learning Styles
Every child experiences the world in a unique way, and with that comes differences in the way kids learn.

Comprehending the differences in learning styles can drastically impact the way instructors handle the learners, set up group activities, and probably rally behind individual learning.

Failure to understand the disparity in learning style means that teachers will end up with several learners lagging behind their classmates.

According to Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence, children below the age of five learn in diverse ways.

Early Childhood Education

The theory outlines three principal learning styles that every teacher should employ.

If you intend to enroll your child in a Montessori preschool in Singapore, choose a learning facility that can pay special attention to your child’s learning abilities.

Three basic learning styles for children

1. Visual

Visual learners are children that learn faster when information is presented to them in the form of graphics and pictures. They tend to recall more information when they see it in picture form.

To them, a picture is worth a thousand words. These learners usually are found at the front of the classroom, smiling and soaking up whatever the teacher draws on the board.

They like painting, drawing, and are more attracted to bright colored images. This is why you will identify colored images plastered on every kindergarten classroom wall.

If you have visual learners in your class, then you must lead by an example. You will have to show them everything before they can do it.

They prefer doing things that they see people doing. Visual learners are excellent in identifying numbers and images compared to other types of learners.

2. Auditory

These are the fast learners you can have in a class. They will learn when they hear you talking.

To them, every information presented inform of audio is best grasped. They have a sharp sense of hearing and usually pay attention whenever the teacher is talking.

You can teach these learners through storytelling and comprehensive lecturers.

Auditory learners understand information faster and better when reinforced by sound. This means that their point of learning is when a teacher presents the information to them by taking.

Auditory learners do not learn better when given reading assignments.

3. Kinesthetic

Kinesthetic learners are children who learn fast when information is presented to them physically.

They grasp more information when allowed to engage in physical activities.

When allowed to experience new things, they can learn new concepts faster. Also, when allowed to handle and touch things, they can quickly grasp technical concepts.

Kinesthetic learners will often struggle to be calm in class when the teacher is explaining something.

They may have the worst handwriting in the class but are excellent in dancing and other physical activities.

Teachers can help these learners by having move around lessons. For instance, they can ask the learners to act in a specific part of the lesson to the class to help them learn faster.

Every child deserves the right to learn the right way. Knowing the type of learners in your class helps prepare your lesson plan.

Not every lesson plan is ideal for all learners.

With the information provided here, you can now understand how to prepare every child to learn so that they do not lag.

Hadoop: Job Responsibilities & Skills Relevance 2019-2020
Every technology has its day and then a time comes when a new technology takes over and the previous one becomes obsolete.

Is this the case with the Hadoop stack?

A lot of discussion on the web will point at the fact that Hadoop is losing relevance faster than was expected.

Last Update : September 11, 2019

You would often come across articles claiming that Hadoop is useless in how analytics industry is proceeding with the new tech.

So, should students be discouraged to take up Hadoop training? Well, that would be a crime, at least in India.

Hadoop Job Responsibilities & Skills Relevance 2019-2020

Hadoop Skills

Why Hadoop skills still matter?

  1. In spite of new technologies like Apache Spark Hadoop distributed file system is still under beaten.

It had changed big data forever, solving the most disturbing problem that the companies trying to implement analytics faced initially.

Hadoop is still the most reliable platform for data storage and clustering. Spark may have added a lot of speed to data processing, it works on top of the Hadoop platform.
  2. A large number of companies are still using Hadoop and to good effect. The demand for Hadoop operators easily seen on the job portals should testify for this fact.
  3. Hadoop skills add almost 8% to your salary in Indian analytics industry.
These reasons should be enough to convince you about the relevance of Hadoop.

Now, let us look at some reasons why Hadoop is losing a good deal of its market.

It is true that Hadoop's market has shrunk.

Or we can say it has lost some of its incredible growth rate. But that is quite obvious. Hadoop grew almost parallely with the big data industry.

They were literally synonymous at a point of time. There has to come a point of saturation as the market is becoming more and more competitive.

But what has forced a lot of enterprises to withdraw from Hadoop is the skill shortage.

Hadoop Training

Students have somewhat avoided Hadoop in the last couple of years. The global number of Hadoop trainees have gone down dramatically.

This may have happened because of the slightly steep learning curve of Hadoop as opposed to rather simpler Spark. Anyhow this has affected the job market greatly.

Currently there is still a lot of demand for Hadoop professionals but a severe scarcity of supply. The value of Hadoop skills have gone up.

There are some Hadoop training institutes in Bangalore which provide with comprehensive theoretical and practical training. Availing such courses can set you up for a great career.

Hadoop is a tradition which is not going to face extinction any soon. It has lost some of its authority over the industry but Hadoop skills can still get you a job and help you get a pay hike.

The Common Mistakes Candidates make when writing a CV

The Common Mistakes Candidates make when writing a CV
Curriculum Vitae also known as CV can determine whether you get that specific job or not.

Even though writing it isn’t easy, it’s still supposed to look great because your CV is your first impression and it is important that you get it right.

Different countries have different guidelines of writing a CV, but most of the countries share the same format of a CV.

The following are some of the common mistakes made by candidates when writing a CV;
  1. Spelling and grammar mistakes-Spelling mistakes and poor grammar can really turn off a recruiter. Spelling mistakes show that you don’t pay attention to details.

This can limit your chances of landing an interview and thus lose a job which you may have qualified for.

You can avoid these mistakes by allocating some time to proofread your CV, reading out your work aloud as you’ll be able to hear something which doesn’t sound right or give your family member to read it.
  2. Not tailoring your application to the job-According to apg media, every CV that you write should be tailored to the company or the role that you’re applying for.

If you do this right, it will show the recruiters that you did your research and that you’re the perfect candidate for the job. This is why it’s usually advisable to update your CV once in a while.

When you’re applying for the same post that you once applied for but in a different company then you find that your experiences are irrelevant to this other company, the best idea is to remove the irrelevant experiences.
  3. Lying-Everybody wants to impress the recruiters with his/her skills, experiences or accomplishments, but you don’t need to do this by telling a lie.

The recruiters can tell from your CV whether you’ve stated facts in your CV or better still, they can list you for the interview where you’ll be asked the questions and you will have no answers.

So instead of fabricating lies in your CV, concentrate on selling the qualifications, skills and the experiences that you have.
  4. Being under qualified-This can waste the recruiter’s time and your time as well. For instance, if you are applying for a job as a Director, while in the real sense you have no experience in this post or you’ve just been employed a few weeks ago.

This will be a poor time wastage on both sides. If you’re applying for a job, check the descriptions and make sure that your skills and experiences match what the role requires.

And then when writing a CV, you can include these skills and experiences and support them with an evidence.
  5. Having a photo-Having a photo of yourself on your CV is a waste of space which you could have used to state your skills, experiences or accomplishments.

Recruiters consider this as one of the biggest mistakes in CV writing.
  6. Not including your contact details-Some candidates forget to include their contacts e.g. their emails or phone numbers in their CVs.

This is very dangerous because even if you qualify for an interview, there’s no way the recruiters will contact you to let you know the date and time of the interview.
