Air Force Common Admission Test Results declare-what to do now

AFCAT: Air Force Common Admission test  is an exam to join the Indian Air Force.

The examination is conducted twice every year in the month of February and August.

The examination is generally held on the last Sunday of February or August.

The notification for the examination comes out in January and July respectively.

After the primary written examination, the AFCAT result is announced.

Accordingly, the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the next few rounds of evaluation which will determine the final list of the selected candidates.

How to check the result of the written AFCAT examination?

You can easily follow a few steps to check your AFCAT examination results.
  • The results of the AFCAT are available on the official website of AFCAT The results are published on the website in the form of a PDF file and you can open the file to check your rank. You can also check your detailed evaluation by entering your roll number to login at the official website.
The procedure to be followed after getting selected

If your roll number has appeared in the list of selected candidates then you need to take the following steps-
  • You need to login to your account from the official website of the Indian Air Force. After logging in with the help of your roll number, download the call letter for the Air Force selection boards.
  • The call letter will also have further information regarding the documents you need to possess while you appear for the selection procedure.
  • You need to possess the admit card which was attested at the AFCAT examination centre.
  • For the Air Force Selection Board rounds, you need to select your preferred venue and time. If you have not selected it then the AFSB will make the decision on your behalf. So, be sure to check your email for further information provided by the AFSB.
  • You need to carry the AFCAT admit card and the photo identity proof in order to appear for the selection board rounds.

The AFSB rounds

After your AFCAT result declared, there will be three rounds of AFSB.
  • Intelligence test- The first round of the AFSB is the intelligence test. Only the candidates who possess the required documents will be allowed to appear for the round. Candidates who do not have the required documents will be sent back.
  • Psychological test, Group discussion/ tests and Personal interview- Candidates who have cleared the first round of interview will be eligible for the second round of Psychological tests, Group discussions and Personal interview. Only the cleared candidates with marks above the cut off can appear for the third round.
  • Only the flying branch candidates have to appear for the third round of interview which includes the Computerized Pilot Selection System and Pilot Aptitude Battery test.
