This exam is conducted for all the students who want to enrol in post graduate courses, either in engineering field. This exam is conducted by the higher authority of secondary board of education. All the students from around the national work hard to appear in this exam. This exam has a set pattern for the students enrolling for this exam.

This entrance exam is a key to get admission in most reputed colleges in India. Students start preparing for this exam after clearing their matriculation exams as they are aware about their goals and wish to make career as an engineer.


After clearing this exam students are asked to appear for the counseling session, according to the merit list prepared by the higher authorities of education. The students are given the option of choosing the colleges as per their preferences. Once JEE main exam gets over students are offered with colleges like NIIT, IIT, State Government colleges and many other renowned institutions based on the percentage achieved by the student in 12th standard and the marks scored in this entrance exam.

This year in 2016 this entrance examination was conducted on 3 different days and, they were 3, 9 and 10 of April 2016.It is one of the popular entrance exam among the students, students who achieve the best score in this exam become eligible to take admission in on of the most leading institutions. They have a team that deals with the issues and help them in providing accurate facilities as per their requirements.

The team is termed as Joint Seat Allocation Authority. They deal with allocating seats to the deserving candidates. The result for JEE 2016 was declared on 27th of April 2016 and 23rd of June 2016  The students were informed on time about the declaration of the result and were even asked to keep themselves updated by checking the official website.

The candidates just had to go to the official website and submit their roll number and also their date of birth to check their result and the rank they have scored.  After this was done students were asked to register themselves for the counselling session. Through this they can make choice for the counselling session to be conducted. The last date for filling for attending the counselling session according to the preference of candidate is 28th of June 2016. After the counselling session will get completed, the students will be allotted the seats.

The students will be given complete information regarding the counselling session, they will either send a mail or a letter to update each aspirant for the session. The students will be allotted location and timing respectively and it is mandatory to be on time.

The higher authority will go through the process of counselling of each deserving candidates, before allocating seats to them. They will check the preferences given by the students for the colleges they wish to enrol for further studies and will allot them colleges under the guidelines given.

The candidate need to carry some important documents and they are:
  • Their original 10th and 12th class certificates.
  • Rank Card
  • The Application or a copy of mail sent to them.
  • Some amount as a registration fees that is refundable.
