CBSE: Details of OTBA

In the year 2013, Central Board of Secondary Education launched OTBA which is also known as Open Text Book Assessment. The assessment is only for the students studying in Class 9 and 11.

The main reason behind the introduction of OTBA is to make the students get rid of the burden of mugging up of content given in their prescribed books. Instead provide them with such golden opportunities where they make effective use of memory and acquire more and more skills of information processing.
